The ASGE Annual GI Advanced Practice Provider Course is a virtual event taking place on July 16-17, 2021. After a lunch break, Session II focuses on Building a Quality Team and includes presentations on building an APP education onboarding program, optimizing the role of the APP in GI practice, and the APP/physician collaborative relationship. The day ends with Session III, which covers the daily schedule for outpatient and inpatient GI APPs, including topics such as introduction to coding and designing and functioning of the outpatient and inpatient APP workday.<br /><br />The second day of the course begins with Session IV on Clinical Gastroenterology & Endoscopy for the APP. Presentations in this session include an introduction to Day 2, discussions on upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP & EUS, and therapeutic endoscopy. Following a break, Session V focuses on case-based clinical scenarios that an APP may encounter, including IBD management, management of the liver patient, acute pancreatitis management, chronic pancreatitis & pancreatic cancer, GI bleeding management, dysphagia, and GI emergencies. The day concludes with a roundtable discussion and closing remarks from the Course Directors. Please note that the agenda is subject to change.
