The second day will be dedicated to Gastroenterology & Hepatology Clinical Practice: Case-based Discussions.<br /><br />On the first day, topics covered include creating a high-quality GI consultation, optimizing the role of the APP in onboarding and professional development, opportunities for scholarship and research for the APP, the collaborative relationship between APPs and MDs, work-life satisfaction strategies, building APP leaders, informed consent, sedation and bowel preparation, management of anti-thrombotic agents for patients undergoing GI endoscopy, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS, therapeutic endoscopy, billing and coding, medicolegal aspects of endoscopic practice, contracts and negotiations.<br /><br />On the second day, topics covered include evaluation of abnormal liver function tests, case studies in liver disease, management of liver disease complications, abnormal imaging in GI, celiac disease and other diseases of the small bowel, GERD, Barrett's esophagus, Barrett's endotherapy, acute pancreatitis update, evaluation and management of IBD, evaluation of acute and chronic diarrhea, the NordICC trial and colorectal cancer screening.<br /><br />The course will feature faculty members who are experts in their respective fields, including John A. Martin, MD, FASGE, Jill Olmstead, DNPc, ANP-BC, CCS-P, FAANP, Andrea Gossard, APRN, CNP, Sarah Enslin, PA-C, Vivek Kaul, MD, FASGE, Kimberly Kearns, MS, APN-BC, Aaron Shiels, MD, FASGE, and Joseph Vicari, MD, MBA, FASGE.<br /><br />Please note that the agenda is subject to change.
