Hello, and welcome to the live stream event, ASG's annual GI advanced practice provider course. Our aim is for each of you to have a robust learning experience. In addition to experiencing a fantastic course today and tomorrow, each of you will have ongoing access to the recordings from the course via GI Leap, ASG's online learning management system. You already have a GI Leap account, or education bank as I like to call it. It's where you logged in for the meeting e-syllabus. In the near future, the recordings from the course will populate that account, and we will let you know when they're available. Before the course directors officially kick off the day, a few housekeeping items. My name is Eden Essex, and I will be the announcer for this course. You will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the course via the Q&A box. Please be sure to use the Q&A box and not the chat box to submit questions or comments. That'll keep us organized. This course has been approved for up to 14.75 AMA PRA category one credits. To receive your CME certificate, you must complete the course evaluation for each day of attendance. The evaluation form will be available in GI Leap one hour before the close of the course each day. After completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately download the CME certificate. Your feedback is extremely helpful in shaping the future of ASG courses, and we appreciate your comments. Faculty disclosures can be found in your program materials, and all potential conflicts of interest were resolved prior to this course. Now it is my pleasure to introduce our course directors. John Martin is a full-time practicing gastroenterologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Martin's interests center on endoscopy unit operations and efficiency, technological innovations in endoscopy, and endoscopic training and simulation and hands-on training and education. He has served on the ASG Governing Board and currently serves on the ASG Practice Operations Committee. Jill Olmsted is an adult nurse practitioner at Providence St. Joseph Health in Fullerton, California. She has practiced as an NP for over 15 years specializing in gastroenterology. Her practice includes evaluating and managing new patient GI consultations, follow-up visits, and diagnostic flexible sigmoidoscopies. She is credentialed as a certified coder, a clinical documentation improvement specialist, and a risk adjustment coder. Jill is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and currently serves on ASG's reimbursement committee. I will now turn the proverbial floor over to Dr. Martin. Eden, thank you very much. I sure appreciate it and welcome everyone to our fourth annual GI advanced practice provider course. We strongly felt the need to continue with this course and you proved us right. Advanced practice providers are critical members of the gastroenterology clinical team in delivering high quality and efficient care to patients. I was eyeballing the registration list before we opened the course and was excited to see the mix of advanced practice providers, physicians, physician assistants, and other team members participating today. Thank you so much for joining us and thank you to Fujifilm, Healthcare Americas Corporation, and Olympus Corporation of the Americas for their support of this course in part via an educational grant. We have an all-star faculty team, so without further ado, I will hand the presentation over to my course director, Jill Olmsted. Jill? Thank you, John. I too am thrilled at the turnout for this event. We'll start today with GI-specific education essential to a successful GIAPP visit. Thank you.
