as provider course. Our aim is for each of you to have a robust learning experience. In addition to experiencing a fantastic course today and tomorrow, each of you will have ongoing access to the recordings from the course via GILeap, ASG's online learning management system. You already have a GILeap account, or education bank as I like to call it. It's where you logged in for the meeting e-syllabus. In the near future, the recordings from the course will populate that account, and we will let you know when they are available. Before the course directors officially kick off the day, a few housekeeping items. My name is Eden Essex, and I will be the announcer for the course today. You will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the course via the Q&A box. Please be sure to use the Q&A box and not the chat box to submit questions or comments. That'll keep us organized. This course has been approved for up to 14.75 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. To receive your CME certificate, you must complete the course evaluation for each day of attendance. The evaluation form will be available in GILeap one hour before the close of the course each day. After completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately download the CME certificate. Your feedback is extremely helpful in shaping the future of ASG courses, and we appreciate your comments. Faculty disclosures can be found in your program materials and all potential conflicts of interest were resolved prior to this course. Now it is my pleasure to introduce course director, Sarah Enslin. Sarah Enslin is a physician assistant at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has over 10 years of experience as a practicing PA and GI. She is the advanced practice provider manager for the university medicine service line and co-lead advanced practice provider for the division of gastroenterology and hepatology. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she has a busy clinical practice with special interest in hepatopancreatic ovarian disease and GI oncology. She routinely lectures at the Rochester Institute of Technology PA program and is a sought-after speaker regionally and nationally. She also participates in clinical research projects and is a preceptor for APP students from four different colleges and universities in the upstate New York region. Sarah serves on several national GI committees, is section editor for the advanced practice providers for IGIE, and is a member of the ASGE practice operations committee. She has several peer-reviewed publications to her credit and regularly presents at national meetings. I will now turn the proverbial floor over to Sarah. Thank you, Eden, and welcome everybody. We're very excited to be back again this year for our fifth annual advanced practice provider course. Year after year, we have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have joined us. Once again, we have a record number of attendees again this year, and we've really taken your feedback every year after the course and been able to tailor the agenda to the needs of all of you. So as we go through this course, please continue to provide us with that feedback. We will use it and make sure that we continue to meet the needs of this group. Advanced practice providers are crucial members of the gastroenterology clinical team in delivering that high quality and efficient care to our patients. Today we have an all-star faculty team. Starting us off will be my co-course director, Dr. Joe Vacari. Joe Vacari is board certified in gastroenterology. He attended medical school at Creighton University, completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Creighton University, and completed his GI fellowship in gastroenterology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he became chief fellow in gastroenterology from 1996 to 1997. Dr. Vacari joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates in 1997 and previously served as managing partner. He has held a faculty appointment at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford since that time, holding the academic rank of clinical assistant professor of medicine. Dr. Vacari has served as chair of the ASG practice operations committee, currently chairs the ASG advanced practice provider task force, and is a counselor on the ASGE governing board. Dr. Vacari is presenting numerous lectures and presentations to students and residents and physicians both locally and nationally. Joe, very honored to work with you today and deliver this course. The audience is yours.
