Video Summary
In this video, a doctor presents two cases. In the first case, a 67-year-old female who had recently undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy presented with abdominal pain and jaundice. Imaging showed a large fluid collection in the gallbladder fossa and choledocal lithiasis. Endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP were performed, but cannulation was unsuccessful. Cholangioscopy revealed a chain of stones in the bile duct, which were removed using lithotripsy. The patient eventually underwent extensive lysis of adhesions and a Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy. Two years later, the patient was asymptomatic and doing well. In the second case, a 57-year-old female with a history of alcoholism presented with pancreatitis and a right-sided pleural effusion. Endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP showed a disruption in the pancreatic duct, which was bridged with a stent. The patient had a successful recovery with resolution of symptoms and a healed disruption seen on follow-up imaging. The video also includes discussions on the management of biliary leaks and complications during interventional procedures. No credits were provided in the transcript.
