Video Summary
The presentation describes autologous mucosal transplantation as a novel endoscopic option for complex GI defects and fistulas. Three cases were shown: a chronic enterocutaneous fistula, deep muscle injury after ampullectomy/EMR, and a large duodenal EMR defect with high stricture risk. A mucosal graft was harvested from nearby healthy tissue using EMR, then fixed to the defect with a helical tag, cinch, and clips. All grafts and donor sites healed well, with no complications or need for reintervention. The technique appeared safe, feasible, and potentially useful when standard closure methods fail.
