Video Summary
This first-in-human multicenter case series evaluated a novel endoscopic method for treating gastric outlet obstruction by creating a durable gastrojejunal anastomosis. The technique uses two lumen-opposing metal stents placed about 2 cm apart to form parallel fistulas, followed later by septotomy or spontaneous septal necrosis to merge them into one wide channel. Six patients were treated; all had technical and clinical success, with no major adverse events or repeat interventions over a median 22-week follow-up. The approach may offer a lasting, stent-free alternative to surgical gastrojejunostomy, especially for benign disease.
