Video Summary
This study developed an AI “co-pilot” for endoscopic ultrasound-guided gallbladder drainage to help identify safe treatment windows for lumen-apposing metal stent placement. Using 59 videos and expert grading (A–F), a ResNet50v2 model was trained to classify windows as favorable, borderline, or unfavorable. On a test set, the system achieved 87.5% sensitivity, 90.8% specificity, and 89.2% accuracy. It was also deployed in real time on a separate monitor without altering the clinical system. The AI performed well in retrospective and live cases and may help reduce technical difficulty and improve safety.
