Hello, everyone, and welcome to the modules on artificial intelligence and gastroenterology. I'm Prateek Sharma, the chair of the ASG AI Task Force, and it's my pleasure to have you join us for these various lectures that you have access to. So as you know, over the years, artificial intelligence and specifically machine learning has exploded in the field of healthcare, as well as in endoscopy, and in order to get all our members up to speed in what's happening in this field, we have this on-demand class available for you. We will start off by defining what is AI, what is machine learning, and why should it be used in gastroenterology, and then to the principles of machine learning, both computer vision as well as predictive analysis, all of which can be done in gastroenterology. We'll also be looking at the clinical evaluation of AI algorithms in gastroenterology. And finally, what are the metrics which should be used for ML algorithms in the field of gastroenterology and endoscopy. I'm also delighted to have, like, world-class experts provide you with these lectures, from Dr. Tyler Berzin to Dr. Sravanti Parasa and Dr. Seth Gross, who have contributed valuably not just to the AI Task Force, but also to all these learning modules. Hope you enjoy it.
