Hi, good morning, everyone, and welcome to the ASGE Masterclass on Artificial Intelligence. It's 9 a.m. Central here in the U.S., and welcome to all of our friends not just here but globally as well, and thank you for joining in. Many of you may have attended the ASGE Summit on Artificial Intelligence, and this year what we are doing differently with the Masterclass is getting a few set of experts from around the globe together for a few hours to go right from the basics of A to Z of artificial intelligence, and so this Masterclass format is more focused on those who are truly interested in this field of artificial intelligence in gastroenterology and endoscopy, and so I'd like to welcome all of you for this first ASGE Masterclass. So what you will see as we move along is that this wouldn't have been possible without support from our industry partners, so I'd like to thank Medtronic, Olympus Corporation of the Americas, Pentax Medical, Virgo Surgical Video Solutions for their generous support for this program. I'd like to also thank our exhibitors, 3M, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and Virgo, and of course, you know, for the faculty who will be doing all of the work this morning and afternoon, and again it's my pleasure, and I'll read out the names here because you'll be seeing them frequently either on the chat or on their webcams, and again, this Masterclass would not have been possible without the input both on the agenda as well as the topics from this wonderful course faculty who are truly experts not just in the field of AI but innovators in endoscopy. So Tyler Berzin, who is from Boston, Massachusetts. Tyler is also part of our ASGE Artificial Intelligence Task Force and is involved personally in a number of studies related to artificial intelligence in his institution. Second, we have Michael Byrne. Michael's from Vancouver in Canada, and Michael working with several U.S. experts was one of the first to evaluate characterization for colon polyps, for example, and it's a pleasure to have Mike join us for this Masterclass. Then we have Sravanti Parasa, who is from Swedish Medical Center. Sravanti is also part of our AI ASGE Task Force and truly not just one of the innovators in AI but somebody who has a passion for this field, and she'll be also, you know, running us through a little bit of a game or gamification within artificial intelligence and how an algorithm is set up, and I think you'll find that really interesting. Then for the first time, I'd like to welcome Taposh Roy. Taposh is a senior manager on data science and innovation from Kaiser Permanente, and, you know, one concept that, you know, all of us have realized over time is that it's extremely difficult and impossible for us to move this field forward in medicine without our sort of collaboration and interaction with data scientists, and Taposh represents that side of the coin of artificial intelligence in medicine, and we look forward to his presentations as well. And last but not the least is Yuichi Mori, who's from Showa University in Japan but currently based in warm Oslo, Norway, and, you know, Yuichi, besides having several initial publications in the field of AI to his credit, also has launched the Sun database in Japan for using endoscopy videos and images, so truly an outstanding faculty, and again, I'm really indebted to all of them for not just spending this entire day Saturday with us but also the time and effort that has gone on to put this thing together, so again, welcome to each one of you. A complete list of the faculty with more affiliations, their bios, their disclosures can be found on the website as well as the virtual platform, and those of you interested in CME credits, you will be getting 4.5 CME credits for participation in today's meeting. You should be familiar with Zoom by now. We are all Zoomed out, and, you know, I don't have to go into details for this, but you have the Q&A box, so rather than using the chat function, please use the Q&A box, which is there at the bottom right-hand corner of your virtual platform, and we have built-in time for Q&As at the end of every session, so please do utilize that opportunity for our faculty. And finally, do remember to visit the virtual rooms and exhibits and acknowledge our sponsors, again, without whom this would not have been possible.
