The Open (Basic) ARIA Program is scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the ASGE IT&T Center in Downers Grove, Illinois. Shuttle service from the Westin Hotel to the venue is available only at 6:15 am and 6:45 am.<br /><br />The day begins with breakfast from 6:30 to 7:30 am, followed by a welcome and course overview by Dr. Sushovan Guha at 7:30 am. An interactive discussion titled "Day in the Life of a Gastroenterologist" (Part I) starts at 7:40 am with Dr. Guha and faculty.<br /><br />The morning sessions focus on the gastrointestinal (GI) tract in health, covering the esophagus and stomach (Dr. Kajali Mishra), small and large intestine (Dr. Ayokunle Abegunde), liver, gallbladder, and pancreas (Dr. Juan Carlos Bucobo), and an introduction to GI endoscopy (Dr. Guha). A break is scheduled at 9:20 am.<br /><br />The program then shifts to GI tract diseases with talks on the esophagus and stomach, small intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and large intestine topics such as lower GI bleeding, colorectal cancer, diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), presented by Drs. Mishra, Padhya, Bucobo, and Abegunde.<br /><br />A group photo and lunch occur around noon, followed by a hands-on Bio Skills Simulation Lab session from 12:50 to 2:30 pm. Participants rotate through stations covering scope handling, foreign body removal, endoscopic therapies, and more, led by the faculty.<br /><br />After a short break, case-based discussions take place from 2:45 to 3:15 pm, followed by the second part of the interactive discussion "Day in the Life of a Gastroenterologist" until 3:45 pm. The event concludes with a Q&A session and adjournment at 4:00 pm.
