My task here is a little bit easier as compared to what all of you have done all day today and again, thank you on behalf of the ASGE for doing that. I just have a few words to share with all of you on the EOE training program and it's called the Training of the Trainers program and this is being conducted by the ASGE and just wanted to recognize that this has been led on the faculty side primarily by Bill Tierney and then from the ASGE side by Ed as well as supported by Sarah from the France Foundation and we've got several experts who've talked today who are members of the steering committee so you know that's a little bit of background about this. Good, so for all of you who are joined in today and you've heard all these wonderful talks about the diagnosis management of patients with EOE, I think the question you should be asking yourself that are you now ready to be an EOE educational leader meaning can you take all this knowledge that you've heard today and all the resources that the ASGE can provide to you to sort of go and spread the word amongst your colleagues, amongst you know your regional associations about you know diagnosis and treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis. So these are the modules which are currently available and they are highlighted as bold as of October 2024 and you can see that these range anywhere from the incidence and prevalence of EOE, the pathophysiology of EOE, clinical manifestations and natural history of EOE in children as well as in adults, other disease states that can mimic EOE, the role of endoscopy and EOE histopathology, nutrition and then some several guideline references and patient resources which are there. So once you become a member or you sign up for this, you will have access to all of these different modules. The ones that you see that are grayed out are the ones which the ASGE, specifically this EOE training of the trainers program will roll out over the next couple of months. In fact, we have probably received all of these modules from our experts in the steering committee and bills in the process of reviewing them and then once that's done they will be also on the EOE platform as well which will be available to you. So here's how you can unlock these EOE resources for free for each one of you that's on the call. And again, hopefully all of you are ASGE members but this is actually also available to non-members so you definitely can take a picture of this slide and share it with your colleagues who may or may not be ASGE members and then they can also avail all of these excellent modules. And you can see that there will be tools about the program, about why it's important for you to become one of so-called trainers so that you've heard about this, this is a relatively new condition that all of us have seen literally being brought up or diagnosed in front of our eyes and so the literature is changing very frequently and so this is a good way for all of you to remain abreast of the literature as you do that. All of this will be housed on our learning platform which is called GI Leap and again those of you who are members have probably taken advantage of this. If you haven't, I just urge you to go on to the website of ASGE and go to ASGE GI Leap in which you will be able to look at not just the train the trainers part but other access that you have to a lot of educational information and so this is once you sign in and you become a part of this program you will be able to look at this on GI Leap. So here's some examples of it that you know when you go on and you'll sign on to it, it will tell you what are the advantages to become an EOE trainer and what is it that you will get from the ASGE in terms of resources and then also what are these modules and the reason we are calling them modules and what these are, they are material which have been designed by content experts in the field and this is truly a multidisciplinary group in which we actually have APPs on that group, we have adult gastroenterologists on the group, pediatric gastroenterologists, histopathologists on it, primary care physicians on this group. So we're trying to give you a full comprehensive view on EOE. So not only once you have this information will you be more knowledgeable about it but I think more importantly we want you to share this knowledge you know with others. So you'll go through all of these steps about step one you know which module interests you. Each of the module has a very short four to five minute video clip prior to that module and that expert who has created that module just sort of walks you through that module which I think is super helpful so that you don't have to go through the 40 slides to get trained but it gives you just a brief introduction in four or five minutes about what the module is about, what the content is about and then you can look at the slides and then you can you know decide to hide some of the slides if you don't think those are relevant for your presentation and each of the slides also has educational material or written material at the bottom of it so as to say a speaker notes so that as you're going through it you can also read through the speaker notes so that you're familiar with the slides because I always find it very difficult if I'm using somebody else's slides as to what was the message that the person wanted to convey and I think from those speaker notes under the slides you will definitely be able to do that. So again you will see these modules like this when you go there today if you sign up today for it and you'll be able to see each one of these things in there. Now I'm just taking one example which is the role of endoscopy in the diagnosis of EOE and again we all understand this is an extremely important thing because this is how you make the diagnosis so if you were to sort of click on it and you were to look at the video on it this is the initial video which will come up and again I'm not going to play this video but this is the video overview of the module so you'll go to the bottom of this you will click on the video and you will hear the expert telling you about what this module about endoscopic diagnosis of EOE is about so that you have done that. Once you are done with that this is the PowerPoint slide that you will get and you will see that you can see this in the slide sorter mode so it tells you exactly all the slides are and we've made this very user friendly and also very media friendly in which you'll see a lot of endoscopic images histologic images videos etc which all our experts have gathered so you will be able to download these on to your laptop or your desktop and then you have that ability to sort of like customize it to how you want it to be done. So that's one part of the EOE train the trainers program. The other thing that we are trying to do is build an EOE patient sort of an app and this is just a prototype some wireframe shorts that I'm going to share with you. You can see the app and then in the middle of it you can see that you have the ability to ask patients some questions or the patient is able to enter some of this information you know in there on it and they have the ability you know from a physician or a provider perspective in the future when this is available you may be able to communicate with your patient before you see him or her about you know what their symptoms are even before they come there. You'll also with the help of some AI in the background it will give you a brief summary about the patient what their allergies are whether any of the allergies triggered their symptoms or not etc. So it helps you in daily tracking of some of these symptoms and this is just something to share with you. This is just look out for this. This is not available today but in the very near future the ASGE will be able to bring you this you know with there. So the first phase or phase one of this app will be launched in you know first quarter of 2025 and then this will be sort of a basic symptom tracking app which is mainly for the patients but also some features there for providers as well. So all of you on the course today you will be able to download this free of cost and you should be able to look at this and use this in your practice. We also have this growing movement and I think we would want all of you to sort of join this movement and again this is just for us to provide better care to our patients with eosinophilic esophagitis. We've had more than 200 participants or providers already join it and then as I mentioned you'll also be getting these EOE insight letters every month in which we will tell you what's the latest and greatest in EOE management but also resources which are available to you as well as meetings which may be coming down the pipe around the date on the months so that you can stay in tune not just with the literature on EOE but also some of the important meetings or educational programs which are happening during that time. And of course we are all very grateful to the support that we've received from these four companies who have allowed us to sort of build this program but again this is a program which is agnostic of either the support that we've received and it's purely an educational program that we have been able to do. So you know we are all, this is the steering committee, we have been working very hard since about February-March of 2024 and we still continue to do this to sort of bring you what the latest and greatest is in eosinophilic esophagitis. So I hope that with this you all will find this interesting and that you will be able to you know take advantage of this very important educational resource that we have from the ASGE. With that I'll stop. Thank you all for having me attend today's meeting and Ilche I'm going to turn it back over to you.
Video Summary
The ASGE has launched the "Training of the Trainers" program focusing on eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE) education, led by Bill Tierney and supported by experts like Ed and Sarah from the France Foundation. The program, available on the GI Leap platform, includes modules on EOE-related topics, available for both members and non-members. Participants can become EOE educational leaders by using these resources and sharing knowledge. Additionally, a symptom-tracking app is being developed, set to launch in early 2025, to aid both patients and providers. The initiative aims to enhance awareness and patient care in EOE.
