event, ASGE's Advanced Practice Provider EOE course. Our aim is for each of you to have a robust learning experience. And in addition to experiencing a fantastic course today, each of you will have ongoing access to the recordings from the course via GI Leap, ASGE's online learning management system. You already have a GI Leap account, or as we like to call it, your education bank. It is where you logged in for the meeting e-syllabus. In the near future, the recordings from the course will populate that account, and we will let you know when they are available. Before the course directors officially kick off the day, a few housekeeping items. My name is Michelle Akers, and I will be the announcer for this course today. You will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the course via the Q&A box. Please be sure to use the Q&A box and not the chat box to submit questions or comments. That will keep us organized. To receive your certificate of completion, you must complete the course evaluation. The evaluation form will be available in GI Leap. After completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately download the certificate of completion. Your feedback is extremely helpful in shaping the future of ASG courses, and we do appreciate your comments. Now it is my pleasure to introduce our course directors. Sorrel Myberg is a certified family nurse practitioner who has been specializing in management of esophageal disorders at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota since 2015. He is a graduate of the Mayo School of Health Sciences and Winona State University. He currently serves on the ASG EAPP committee and is also a member of ACG and Mayo Clinic endoscopy committees. His research interests include esophageal strictures and cancers of the esophagus. Previously, he served in care of patients after thoracic and esophageal surgeries. Dr. Ilche Nonesky joined Rockford Gastrology and Associates in 2008 after completing his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Nonesky received his combined medical and business degrees at the University of Cincinnati, followed by his residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals of Cleveland. As a fellow, Dr. Nonesky conducted research on the causes of eosinophilic esophagitis. His current interests include esophageal diseases and gastrointestinal motility, colon cancer prevention, and caring for patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Nonesky served as chief financial officer to Ed Rockford for seven years, leading several initiatives to deliver the highest quality of care to his community. He holds the title of clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. I will now turn the proverbial floor over to Dr. Nonesky. Dr. Nonesky? Good morning, everybody. Thank you for the kind introductions. We are delighted and excited to be able to provide this APP course on eosinophilic esophagitis. As all of us know, advanced practice providers are an indispensable part of the way that we deliver healthcare. And I'd like to say hello to the four from Rockford Gastro that joined today. Thank you for coming, and to all of you from all over the world. And we've got quite an international group of attendees. And our goal is to hopefully give you a strong, solid foundation for understanding what causes eosinophilic esophagitis, why we are seeing more of it, and how we can treat it ultimately so that we can take care of our patients in the right way. I'd like to have Saril take care of the rest of it. Good morning, everyone. Thank you for the kind introductions. Yeah, I'm thrilled about the turnout for this event. But before we get started, let's ask the audience a few polling questions. Where are you in your GI career as an advanced practice provider? More than five years, one to five years, less than one year, or are you primarily focusing on primary care? That's great. It looks like a whole variety of experiences. We'll ask the next question, please, Michelle. What is your GI experience? Practice is focused on pediatrics. My practice is focused on adults and practice is focused on combination of adults and pediatrics. And there are your results. Now I'll hand it over to Dr. Nornepsky for the first talk on GI. Take it away, Ilse. Thank you very much. I forgot to mention a special thank you to our sponsors today, Sanofi and Regeneron for their support of the course via an educational grant. I forgot to mention that.
