Good morning. Trust me, I tried my best to get us another date, but December it is in Chicago. So we have to bear with it. The good news is that we'll be spending basically our entire time here. And here is nice and cozy. I'm Peter Draganov, one of the course co-director. And Dr. Aichara is my partner in crime. Thank you for being here. And this course has a venerable past. And it may be credited with training, including many of the faculty that are here in the early 2013 is when the first rendition was. And it is a joint venture in between ASG and JGS, Japanese Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. And we've been lucky to have Japanese come here and teach. It's a long way. And we have, again this year, four faculty from Japan. And I'm looking forward to what they have. Because ESD is like a living organism. I mean, it constantly changes. What we were doing 10 years ago now, we have continued to develop it and improve it. And I must give a big shout out to Dr. Nouriel Foukami, who spearheaded this endeavor. Nouriel, please say hi. Hi. For 10 plus years, he was the main liaison in between JGS and ASG, and still is. And basically was a key to the success of this course. And speaking of faculty, we already introduced three of us. I would like the rest of the faculty to please stand up and just introduce your name and institution. Juha, let's start with you. And we'll move around. Juha Hong, A. Hi. Makoto Nishimura from Kettering, New York. Dennis Yang, Admin Health, Orlando. Sawanee Nam from Baltimore. Good morning. I'm Kazuya Enoki from Showa University in Tokyo. Hi, good morning. I'm Isashi Fukuda from Jichi University in Japan. Good morning. Petros Benias, Rutgers University. OK, good morning. Alex Lockerman, Thomas Jefferson, Philadelphia. Amit Bhatt from Cleveland Clinic. Very good. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. I'm sorry. I'm from Keio University in Japan. This is Kazuki Yamamoto from Showa University, Kota Terrace Hospital, Japan. Good morning. Sharif Andraouis from Northwell Health in New York. Good morning. This is Jemal Koli from Keio University. I'm Mohamed Affan from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. OK, I don't think we're missing. Dr. Ji is going to join us shortly once he wakes up, I guess. But I'm Houston thing, Ji. Huh? Houston thing. It's a Houston thing. I know. I know. Mohamed found him just literally three minutes ago. So this is the standard conflict of interest statement. And at this point, I will let Dr. Aihara lead you through the flow to the hands-on lab. Thank you once again for attending this ESD course. So I will go through just a quick overview of this course. So for the people who this is the first time to visit this institution, so this is how we access the BioSkills Lab. So you can see the conference auditorium is here. So you're here right now. So to go to the BioSkills Lab, you need to go through this bathroom first. And then you change to the scrubs. And then you will have the gown and shoes cover in the skills lab. And then you just keep your belongings in the locker, so next to the bathroom. And then if you look at your batteries, there is a number and alphabet, I think. That's the hands-on stations you are assigned to. So just to make sure, you look at the instructions in the lab. And then you will go there for the first hands-on after these lectures. For the Wi-Fi, unfortunately, I think the signal is a little weak in the lab. So if you want to keep your connection, just connect to this Wi-Fi. Just take a photo right now. OK. Ready? So also, I want to mention that there are many virtual attendees to this course. We want to make them make some questions and then listen to your questions. So if you have any question to the faculty, please use your microphone. So you can see the microphone on the table. To ask your questions, just press the button to activate the microphone. And then speak clearly, so the virtual attendee can hear your questions. And then after this course, we would appreciate if you could complete the online evaluation to make this course even better. Thank you very much. So enjoy the course. Thank you very much. So I think we should move on to the lecture after this.
Video Summary
