The two-day hands-on course, supported by pre- and post-course eLearning, is designed to give healthcare professionals foundational skills for applying intestinal ultrasound (IUS) in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care and preparing for further training.<br /><br />Participants will learn IUS principles and how the technique compares with other assessment methods; evaluate IBD activity and treatment response; and identify bowel-wall and extramural findings, including strictures, fistulas, and abscesses. Practical instruction will address clinical decision-making, outpatient workflows, clinic setup, documentation, and billing. The course also considers IUS use in special populations, such as pregnant patients and people with severe comorbidities, and encourages continued learning through a virtual discussion forum.<br /><br />The activity offers up to 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and up to 11.25 ABIM Maintenance of Certification points. Participants must complete the online course evaluation through ASGE GI Leap to claim credit and access presentation materials. The MOC submission deadline is December 30, 2026.<br /><br />ASGE states that relevant financial relationships disclosed by planners and faculty were reviewed and mitigated.
