Hello, and welcome to the ASGE live stream event, improving quality and safety in your endoscopy unit. In addition to engaging in the live event today, each of you will have ongoing access to the recordings from the course via GILeap, ASG's online learning management system. You already have a GILeap account, or education bank as I like to call it. It's where you logged in for the meeting e-syllabus. In the near future, the recordings from the course will populate that account and we'll let you know when they're available. Before the course directors officially kick off the day, a few housekeeping items. My name is Eden Essex, and I will be the announcer for this course. You will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the course via the Q&A box. Please be sure to use the Q&A box and not the chat box to submit questions or comments. That'll keep us organized. This course has been approved for 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. To receive your CME certificate, you must complete the course evaluation. The evaluation form will be available in GILeap one hour before the close of the course. After completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately download the CME certificate. Your feedback is extremely helpful in shaping the future of ASG courses, and we appreciate your comments. Faculty disclosures can be found in your program materials and all potential conflicts of interest were resolved prior to the course. Now it is my pleasure to introduce our course directors. Dr. Anna Deloy is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Colorado, and a practicing gastroenterologist with UC Health Digestive Health Center and Schutz Medical Campus. Her clinical interests focus on interventional gastroenterology. Dr. Deloy is an alumnus of the ASG Leadership, Education, and Development Program, and currently serves on the ASG Quality Assurance and Endoscopy Committee. Dr. Rahul Shimpi is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at Duke University Medical Center. His clinical focus is on esophageal disorders, and he is the co-founder and the medical director of the Esophageal Center at Duke. Dr. Shimpi currently serves on the ASG Quality Assurance and Endoscopy Committee. I will now turn the proverbial floor over to Dr. Deloy. Thank you, Eden. Welcome to our 43rd offering of the Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit course. We're excited to come together as we lead up to National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, and Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month in April. Quality and safety are the threads that run through all we do to provide safe, effective, efficient care to our patients. And as we all know, this work takes every member of the healthcare team working at the top of their game. I was on the course registration list, and I was excited to see the mix of physicians, nurses, and other team members participating today. Thank you all so much for joining us. I also wanted to thank our all-star faculty team for their time and hard work on this course. I think it's going to be an excellent day. I hope you enjoy the course and learn some useful things that you can take back to your own teams and practices. Before we begin, we also wanted to thank Olympus Corporation of the Americas and Pendax Medical for their support of this course, in part by educational grants. I will now hand off to Dr. Rahul Shimpi, my co-course director, for his opening remarks and our first talk.
