Hello, and welcome to the ASG live stream event, improving quality and safety in your endoscopy unit. In addition to engaging in the live event today, each of you will have ongoing access to the recordings from the course via GILeap, ASG's online learning management system. You already have a GILeap account. It is where you logged in for the meeting e-syllabus. In the near future, the recordings from the course will populate that account and we will let you know when they're available. Before the course directors officially kick off the day, a few housekeeping items. My name is Eden Essex and I will be the announcer for this course. You will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the course via the Q&A box. Please be sure to use the Q&A box and not the chat box to submit questions or comments. That will keep us organized. You can also raise your hand to make verbal comments during the interactive discussion sessions, so please do not hesitate to do so. Quality is a team sport and we are a team today. Let's share, question, and inspire one another. This course has been approved for 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. To receive your CME certificate, you must complete the course evaluation. The evaluation form will be available in GILeap one hour before the close of the course. After completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately download the CME certificate. Your feedback is extremely helpful in shaping the future of ASG courses and we appreciate your comments. Faculty disclosures can be found in your program materials and all potential conflicts of interest were resolved prior to this course. Now it is my pleasure to introduce our course directors. Dr. Rahul Panala is a professor of medicine and a consultant gastroenterologist at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. His endoscopic quality interests include endoscope-associated infections and gastrointestinal supplies management. He currently serves as a member of the ASG Quality Assurance and Endoscopy Committee. Dr. Julie Yang is an associate professor and currently the director of endoscopic GI cancer services and outreach, as well as the associate director of the Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumor Center at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr. Yang is an alumnus of the ASG LEAD and GOLD leadership and development programs. I will now turn the proverbial floor over to Dr. Yang. Good morning, everyone. Thank you, Eden, and welcome to our 45th offering of the Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit course. Quality and safety truly are the horizontal threads that run through the tapestry of all we do to provide safe, effective, efficient care to our patients, and this work takes every member of the healthcare team working at the top of his or her game. I was reviewing the registration list this morning, and before we opened the course, we were excited to see the mix of physicians, nurses, techs, and other team members participating. I'd like to thank everyone who's participating today, including the audience, and extend my thanks to everyone to make this possible. It's going to be a terrific day. Now without further ado, I'll hand off to my co-director, Dr. Rahul Panhala, for his opening remarks and our first presentation. Thank you, Dr. Yang, and good morning and welcome to everyone, especially folks on the West Coast who have woken up early for this. So we appreciate your commitment to quality. I think it's going to be a terrific day. I think we want this to be really interactive. We want this to be, like Eden said, a team sport. So we all want to learn from each other and really make this a very productive day. So thank you all for joining, and let's go ahead and go with the first talk.
