Welcome to the ASGE live stream event, Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit. In addition to engaging in the live event today, each of you will have ongoing access to the recordings from the course via GI Leap, ASG's online learning management system. You already have a GI Leap account. It's where you logged in for the meeting e-syllabus. In the near future, the recordings from the course will populate that account and we will let you know when they're available. This course has been approved for 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. To receive your CME certificate, you must complete the course evaluation. The evaluation form will be available in GI Leap one hour before the close of the course. After completing the evaluation, you will be able to immediately download the CME certificate. Your feedback is extremely helpful in shaping the future of ASG courses and we appreciate your comments. Any disclosures can be found in your program materials and all potential conflicts of interest were resolved prior to this course. Now it is my pleasure to introduce our course directors. Dr. Sonali Palchowdhury is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and an associate director of quality and safety for the division of gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her focus is on quality improvement and healthcare innovation. Dr. Palchowdhury is a member of the ASG sustainable endoscopy task force. Dr. Neil Shahidi is an assistant professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He completed his interventional endoscopy fellowship at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia in 2020 and his doctorate of philosophy in 2023. He is a Michael Smith health research BC scholar and is a member of the ASG quality assurance and endoscopy committee. I will now turn the proverbial floor over to Dr. Shahidi. Thank you Eden and welcome all to our 46th offering of the improving quality and safety in your endoscopy unit course. You know, quality and safety are truly the cornerstone of providing safe, efficient and effective care to our patients and this takes, you know, every member of the healthcare team working at the top of their game. You know, I was reviewing the registration list before we opened up the course and I was really excited to see like the mix of physicians and nurses and techs and other team members participating. Ideally, this course is really designed to be interactive. You know, Eden mentioned you can submit questions and comments in writing as well as raise your hand for us to open up a line of talk and please engage actively because really this course is for you. You know, quality really is a team sport and essentially we're a team today and so let's question, share and inspire one another. Many thanks to all of you for joining us and to our all-star faculty team. I think it's really going to be a terrific day and so without further ado, I'll hand off to my co-director, Esenalli Palachoudhury, for opening remarks and our first presentation.
