ASGE Annual GI Advanced Practice Provider Course - Onboarding Day One (On-Demand) | July 2021
Release Date: July 2021
Viewing Time: 9 hours
Description
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are integral members of the gastroenterology clinical team in delivering high-quality and efficient care to patients. This two-day course provides education for GI APPs at all levels of practice and experience. Day One focuses on topics for APPs that are new or returning to GI to help them navigate their role in their respective practices. Day Two explores more advanced concepts in GI endoscopy and case-based studies including pancreatic disease, dysphagia, GI bleeding, IBD, and GI emergencies. This course is envisioned to become a critical resource for practices that want quality GI education for APPs, to create an effective APP/physician collaboration and successfully and smoothly integrate new APPs into their GI team. APPs, APP supervisors and physician leaders can attend the first day, second day or both days based on your and your practice's needs.

Optimal Viewing Experience in GI Leap
Although all browsers continually roll out new versions and updates, we currently recommend using Chrome for the best functionality when accessing GI Leap. Please note that Internet Explorer is not a supported browser. Follow these tips for better streaming and viewing of ASGE videos:

  1. Close other applications and browser tabs. This decreases the load on memory so your computer or other device can focus on streaming.
  2. Use a 5 GHz frequency if your router supports it. The common 2.4 GHz frequency is used by household appliances, so is more crowded. Avoiding it is like getting into the carpool lane on a freeway: smoother sailing.
  3. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible but GI LEAP is built with Wi-Fi in mind.
  4. Monitor your internet connection. If your ISP has promised you 5MBps and you are getting only 1MBps, it's time for a phone call to your internet provider to sort that out.
