Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a well-recognized diagnostic and therapeutic modality in the treatment of pancreaticobiliary diseases. Traditionally used for diagnostic purposes, EUS plays a critical role in tissue sampling and cancer staging. The emergence of the new field of interventional EUS has allowed EUS to also play a critical role in therapeutic management.

1. Identify relevant anatomy as it applies to performing therapeutic EUS interventions
2. Review indications for performing EUS guided transluminal intervention
3. Recognize proper technique for performing EUS guided transluminal interventions
4. Identify technical pointers to improve safety and success when performing EUS guided transluminal interventions
