This highly popular course was developed by ASGE to educate physicians and non-physician staff of endoscopy units on how to translate quality and safety concepts into everyday practice. Through a mixture of didactic lecture and interactive sessions taught by leading experts in the field, participants of the course will advance their knowledge of endoscopy unit quality and safety, as well as discuss emerging trends and evidence. They will also be prepared to apply for the ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program or be able to renew their current participation.

• Identify ways to define and measure quality in endoscopy. 
• Describe techniques to make endoscopy more efficient yet safe.
• Implement methods to improve patient satisfaction in endoscopy, including improved doctor-patient communication.
• Recognize the potential sources of infection from contact with various body fluids, transmissibility during gastrointestinal endoscopy, and their susceptibility to potential disinfectants.
• Specify measures for improving unit quality, including training and credentialing for new procedures, quality assurance programs, sedation and monitoring, and unit accreditation and re-accreditation.

1. Close other applications and browser tabs. This decreases the load on memory so your computer or other device can focus on streaming.
2. Use a 5 GHz frequency if your router supports it. The common 2.4 GHz frequency is used by household appliances, so is more crowded. Avoiding it is like getting into the carpool lane on a freeway: smoother sailing.
3. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible but GI LEAP is built with Wi-Fi in mind. 
4. Monitor your internet connection. If your ISP has promised you 5MBps and you are getting only 1MBps, it's time for a phone call to your internet provider to sort that out.
