The management of malignant biliary obstruction has evolved significantly over the past few years. Previously, an endoscopist role was mainly to achieve biliary drainage. Nowadays, the endoscopist plays a pivotal role in staging of the disease, obtaining tissue diagnosis, achieving biliary drainage by ERCP or EUS and provide endobiliary ablation in suitable patients. The aim of this webinar is to provide an overview in management of malignant biliary obstruction. In particular, we will review the current endoscopic techniques in obtaining tissue diagnosis, role of endoscopy in staging of the disease, methods of biliary drainage use ERCP and EUS and the role of endobiliary ablation.
