Evolution and Cases In Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) (On-Demand) | March 2021
Release Date: March 2021
Viewing Time:
1 hour
Description

Because ERCP is an advanced technique, it is associated with a higher frequency of serious complications than other endoscopic procedures. Accordingly, specialized training and equipment are required, and the procedure should be reserved for appropriate clinical indications. It is estimated that about 500,000 ERCP procedures are  performed annually in the United States. It is commonly indicated in cases where patients present with abnormal liver function tests with a dilated common bile duct, gallstones, and pancreatitis, or biliary stones determined through positive MRCP, finding a mass in the head of the pancreas and jaundice caused by obstruction.  In this webinar, we discuss the evolution of ERCP and various cases where ERCP is indicated.

Optimal Viewing Experience on GI Leap
Because all browsers continually roll out new versions and updates, it is not always practical to point to a particular browser as "better" than another. Because browsers are free, you can easily shift from one to another for various purposes. Whatever browser you are using, here are some tips for better streaming and viewing of ASGE videos:

  1. Close other applications and browser tabs. This decreases the load on memory so your computer or other device can focus on streaming.
  2. Use a 5 GHz frequency if your router supports it. The common 2.4 GHz frequency is used by household appliances, so is more crowded. Avoiding it is like getting into the carpool lane on a freeway: smoother sailing.
  3. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible but GI LEAP is built with Wi-Fi in mind.
  4. Monitor your internet connection. If your ISP has promised you 5MBps and you are getting only 1MBps, it's time for a phone call to your internet provider to sort that out.
