  • Updates in best practices in colonoscopy, highlighting the most recent recommendations for surveillance after colonoscopy and polypectomy and for endoscopic removal of colorectal lesions.
  • Optimal strategies for examination of the colonic polyps and the role of artificial intelligence, along with the role of advanced resection techniques such as ESD.
  • A state-of-the art update in Bariatric Endoscopy and practical tips for performing endoscopy in patients with altered anatomy, followed by a detailed review of important issues in pancreaticobiliary disorders.
  • Practical guidance on achieving high rates of cannulation during ERCP in clinical practice and optimizing outcomes in ERCP with a focus on reduction in post-ERCP pancreatitis rates.
  • Management of choledocholithiasis, biliary drainage in malignant obstruction and management of pancreatic fluid collections including walled off pancreatic necrosis.
  • Endoscopic examination of patients with Barrett’s esophagus and endoscopic eradication therapies in patients with Barrett’s related neoplasia.
  • Management of most GI emergencies with a pragmatic and algorithmic approach to managing these emergencies in clinical practice.
  • Review of current guidelines on the evaluation and management of patients with pancreatic cystic lesions, highlighting the expanding role of EUS.
Topics Covered
ASGE’s esteemed faculty will review and highlight a number of emerging diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic techniques in the literature and its implications in clinical practice. Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, physicians will be able to:
  • Recognize recent recommendations for follow-up after colonoscopy and polypectomy and endoscopic removal of colorectal lesions  
  • Review the latest approaches to bariatric endoscopy and performance of endoscopy in the post-bariatric patient population 
  • Describe techniques and approaches for optimizing outcomes in ERCP and recognize the role of EUS in contemporary endoscopic practice 
  • Recognize the optimal endoscopic approach to patients with Barrett’s esophagus and management of patients with Barrett’s related neoplasia. 
  • Identify techniques and therapies for management of common GI emergencies such as bleeding, perforations and cholangitis. 
Target Audience
This course has been specifically designed for practitioners of gastrointestinal endoscopy, especially gastroenterologists, gastrointestinal surgeons, gastrointestinal nurses, and fellows in training. This course is equally relevant to those in private practice and academic practice.

Optimal Viewing Experience on GI Leap
Because all browsers continually roll out new versions and updates, it is not always practical to point to a particular browser as "better" than another. Because browsers are free, you can easily shift from one to another for various purposes. Whatever browser you are using, here are some tips for better streaming and viewing of ASGE videos:

  1. Close other applications and browser tabs. This decreases the load on memory so your computer or other device can focus on streaming.
  2. Use a 5 GHz frequency if your router supports it. The common 2.4 GHz frequency is used by household appliances, so is more crowded. Avoiding it is like getting into the carpool lane on a freeway: smoother sailing.
  3. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible but GI LEAP is built with Wi-Fi in mind. 
  4. Monitor your internet connection. If your ISP has promised you 5MBps and you are getting only 1MBps, it's time for a phone call to your internet provider to sort that out.
