This webinar will provide an overview of diagnosis and management of various diverticulum in the esophagus. Diverticula most frequently is related to a motility disorder, such as achalasia or esophageal scleroderma, which prevent the muscles of the esophagus from moving food properly into the stomach. Diagnosis of an esophageal diverticulum can often be done by fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) and/or an esophagram/barium swallow. Various case studies and treatment options will be reviewed, including surgical, endoscopic or both.
