As a result of completing this activity, physicians will be able to:
• Recognize the principles of safe and successful colonoscope insertion. • State the rationale for and method of effective withdrawal technique. • Identify the use of variations in colonoscope design including pediatric colonoscopes, variable stiffness colonoscopes, and tools for completion of very difficult colonoscopies.
