ERCP Bootcamp for the Endoscopy Team (On-demand) | December 2023
Release Date: December 2023
Viewing Time:
13 hours
Description

The elements of a high functioning GI endoscopy healthcare team include clear roles and responsibilities; mutual trust; reliable execution of the patient care plan; ability to adapt quickly; individualized coaching where needed; and continuous learning.

This simulation-based course offers a unique learning environment focusing on the distinct technical roles of physician ERCP procedural skills and the role of the nurse and/or GI technician. The didactic portion of the course will highlight established approaches and new techniques related to ERCP practice. Lectures will use a case-based approach that incorporates videos and images. Q&A sessions allow ample time for attendee-faculty interaction. Hands-on sessions will be led by physician and nurse faculty who will emphasize proper use of technologies and techniques as they relate to physicians, nurses, and assistants.

Pancreaticobiliary endoscopy teams of physicians, nurses, technologists and associates are encouraged to attend the course together to optimize technique and team interaction. Participate in person to take advantage of the simulation hands-on portion of the program or attend virtually.

This course contains recordings from a Live/Virtual course held in December 2023.

Optimal Viewing Experience in GI Leap
Although all browsers continually roll out new versions and updates, we currently recommend using Chrome for the best functionality when accessing GI Leap. Please note that Internet Explorer is not a supported browser. Follow these tips for better streaming and viewing of ASGE videos:

  1. Close other applications and browser tabs. This decreases the load on memory so your computer or other device can focus on streaming.
  2. Use a 5 GHz frequency if your router supports it. The common 2.4 GHz frequency is used by household appliances, so is more crowded. Avoiding it is like getting into the carpool lane on a freeway: smoother sailing.
  3. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible but GI LEAP is built with Wi-Fi in mind.
  4. Monitor your internet connection. If your ISP has promised you 5MBps and you are getting only 1MBps, it's time for a phone call to your internet provider to sort that out.
