Endoscopic interventions are rapidly evolving to be preferred treatment modalities for collections associated with necrotizing pancreatitis, as well as for pseudocysts. Application of these techniques requires not only highly advanced technical expertise, but in-depth understanding of a complex multisystem disorder, and integration with other disciplines including interventional radiology, surgery, and critical care. This video explores the latest approach to these entities in depth, divided into 12 chapters over more than 2 hours.

Topics include updated terminology and anatomic review, the spectrum of management modalities, indications for intervention, and equipment, accessories, and detailed techniques for endoscopic drainage and necrosectomy. Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

• Describe current terminology of collections associated with pancreatitis, including the differentiation of walled off necrosis from pseudocysts
• Recognize the indications for intervention in necrotizing pancreatitis and pseudocysts
• Develop a systematic, multidisciplinary approach for management of collections associated with pancreatitis, including endoscopic and adjunctive radiological and surgical techniques
• Refine various techniques for endoscopic ultrasound guided transluminal drainage and stenting of collections associated with pancreatitis
