The ASGE Performance Improvement Module (PIM): Screening Colonoscopy is designed to assist you in assessing your performance in practice. This online module has been approved for 20 ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points, meeting the requirement in Practice Assessment. This PIM is expected to take three (3) months or longer to complete.
The Screening Colonoscopy PIM includes three stages:
A. Assessment of current practice (chart abstraction on 25 patients required) B. Intervention for performance improvement (duration: 3 months) C. Re-assessment and performance outcomes (chart abstraction on 25 patients required)
Once the individual charts have been entered the data can be seen in aggregate only via graphs. You will not be able to return to look at individual chart data.
Please note: It takes a minimum of 90 days to complete the ASGE Screening Colonoscopy Performance Improvement Module (PIM). If you need to complete Part IV of Maintenance of Certification for the purpose of reporting to ABIM by December 31 of a given year or to CMS's MIPS Improvement Activities performance category for a given perforance year and plan to use the ASGE PIM to do so, you must register and have your first set of charts entered within the PIM system no later than October 1 of that year. At least 90 days must pass between entering in the first set of data and the second set of data.
