The majority of gastroenterologists are employees of an organization, rather than being proprietors of their own practice or shareholders in a group practice. Both the practice and compensation models of physicians who are employees can, and do, vary greatly. It is important to understand what defines an employed physician (EP) before engaging in a discussion regarding the formulas used to establish compensation. This webinar will offer a detailed discussion on what it means to be an EP, lay the groundwork for understanding compensation models that apply to EPs, and develop an action plan to assess any compensation package which might be offered to the EP.
